FuturePack - A venue for recycling and future sustainable solutions
International conference on plastics circular economy
The first FuturePack conference took place in Oslo on October 17th, 2018 with almost 100 participants - an international conference on plastics circular economy, technology, business strategies and innovations for increased recycling.
FuturePack is a large Norwegian Research program into the circular economy of plastics packaging, working on mechanical and chemical recycling of plastics.
All over the Nordic and Europe there are several projects and activities on the plastics circular economy and material recycling.
The focus at the FuturePack conference was on how we can achieve a better and increasing degree of plastics recycling - making a circular plastics value chain.
Various aspects were presented by leading companies and institutions; SUEZ, FORTUM, TOMRA, LUND University, Plastindustrien in Denmark, Grønt Punkt Norge, ØSTFOLDFORSKNING and NORNER.
We would like to thank all the speakers and participants who contributed to make the FuturePack a valuable meeting place for discussing the challenges and opportunities for sustainable packaging solutions. We look forward to seeing you all to next year’s conference.
